These are some random stills pulled from an animated background set that I am working on. I am really digging the results. Hopefully within the next month or so I’ll have a set of 5 backgrounds, 30 seconds long that I’ll release on the Go Media arsenal. Click image to see larger view.
I read this little article in the most recent fast company issue. It’s pretty interesting and I think if a lot of the big companies take this route it probably is one the easiest solutions to helping our environment. I like the idea of working less… don’t you? It’s funny to me how many people/companies claim to be “green” but yet won’t hesitate to print out hundreds emails, letterheads, brochures, etc. Or they stay in their office for 24hrs a day running lights, heat, faxes, computers, etc.. On another note: I’m glad I barely drive and have a train less than a block away- I’m not sure what gas is like near you, but it’s over $3.70 for us.
Literally, it feels like forever since the original announcement of this game and the heartbreaking delay for nearly 6 months. We were expecting this to be delivered on May 1st, but it has arrived and neither of our workstations and the massive pile ups of papers and tasks can overcome the urge to delve into Liberty City and run over some hookers. I had planned to post some game reviews on some of the recent titles we have been playing, but they’ll just have to wait for now. Stay tuned for more gaming updates.

I really can’t wait until the weather’s been really nice for a while to get up and do some fishing, boating, lounging, etc. I’ll finally need to invest in a laptop so we can take off for a week or so but still be able to be in touch with everyone. It’s nice not having to worry too much about vacation days - ah the beauty of freelance.
Sometimes they say the darndest things. I sometimes wonder if the subtitles are wrong or if some editor is having a little fun. Do they not have a word for “groin”?

Some poor dude pushing around data in little Excel boxes on a Saturday night. Literally it was 11:30pm on a sat. night and these were to only 2 windows lit up in an office building adjacent from the train platform. I wish you could actually see the guy sitting in his chair behind his computer in this shot. Unfortunately you can’t as the image is quite blown out…so you’ll have to take my word on this one. I was hoping to see him watching porn, but nope, it was spreadsheets. Poor soul.

This was my first tutorial done for Computer Arts Magazine. I did it a while back for their January issue, but thought it would be fun to post it here anyway. Here’s the link to the actual tutorial.
So i’m becoming obsessed with iphone/phone pics.. Pretty much the new polaroid. Anyhow - these were some stupid peeps on the train which had a group of maybe 8 kids about 7-13yrs old? They were horrible; so loud and obnoxious I had to take their creators picture.
You can see 2 of them in this shot, so by counting the seats I guess there were 9 of them. 6 in front of us here, and then 6 to the right on the other side of the train. Bastards, gave me a headache and forced me to crank my ipod to unbearable levels.
Why it is that parents think it’s okay to have their kids yelling, screaming, singing shitty songs, and calling radio disney to request more shitty songs on a train is beyond me.
